Happy Birthday, Mimi!!

Yesterday, we had the first of 3 birthday parties for Emily. 3 years old!!! Can you believe it? Well, she will be on the 10th, anyway. We celebrated early since Uncle Jason and Aunt Heidi were going to be here. She was so excited to FINALLY get to open presents, have cake, blow out her candles, wear her crown and sing happy birthday to her. She's been ready since September, asking us almost EVERYDAY if it's her birthday AND practicing singing to herself and me(since my b-day is Monday). She will have more birthday fun ON her birthday with my family and then princess fun on the 14th with her two best friends from school/church, Emma and Isabella.

Emily wanted to have a "princess" birthday, so she could wear a crown. She decorated it with stickers all by herself. That's her new phrase..."I do it all by myself, Mom."

Clutching her new chapstick from Ja and Heidi and checking out her "dress-up lady bug" card(it had a lady bug w/a crown and wand on it).

"Oh, wow, MOM!!" Granny and Papa found some play food for her kitchen. 85 pieces. Whew.

The final shot of our new floor!!! It's done! The boys came over after the birthday cake and finished the floor. It's so gorgeous! I've been walking on that blue felt since April, so this is miraculous! :) It looks so great with the light cabinets and khaki walls. I LOVE IT!! As Emily told us, "Papa and Jason fix Daddy's floor and it's good as new". I have no idea where she heard "good as new", but she's right. It's good as new!! Oh, and Jackie sent me an e-mail that our family pictures were ready. YES!! Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

Cousin Play Day

Today we are having our wood laminate floor installed by professionals... Justin's brother, Jason, and his dad. The kids love having Karsten and Chloe over to play with! Here are some pics from yesterday and today. I made my first chocolate cake over the weekend... AIDEN liked it!

Emily's big tower: She was so proud of it. Mostly because her brother was asleep and it was a miracle to have built something so high without someone knocking it over!

Thankful Party

You will have to forgive me... I didn't realize that all of the pictures were still set on LARGE and CENTER. :) Emily had a THANKFUL PARTY at school/church today, so we got some pics of her with her friends. The first one is of Emily and one of her best friends, Isabella. She has two really good friends there(she always tells me she is going to see Emma and Isabella at school/church.). Emma was there, but never at the time of the camera! Aiden had a great time, too. Even though the party was for 2-5 yr olds, he got to join in on the fun, as well. He played legos, playdough and threw some beans around at the bean table.

Emily the Indian girl...she made this at school on Thursday. It has a little feather on it, but it's hiding on the back. Aiden had his favorite hat on, too. He loves to wear his stocking hat around the house.

Happy Birthday, Dad!!(and Happy Halloween!)

Since everyone's birthday's have been this week, Emily thinks that it should be her birthday, too. We had to make a chain to tell her when everyone's b-day's were(from Oct.-Christmas). Apparently, we need to make an all year chain, because she wants Aiden's May birthday on it, too. Here are some funny pics of the kids from playtime, bath time, bed time, Justin's birthday, and of course, Halloween!

As you can see, Emily is not a Care Bear. The Kansas weather has been ranging in the 40's-60's lately. The one time we needed it to be cold, it decided to be 75 degrees out. Thankfully it cooled down a bit, but not enough for Em to wear her heavy costume in the church and not overheat. We found this at Wal-mart in the toy section for half the price as the real costumes. She played in it all day today, too. :) Aiden, my rockstar. He had a scratch and bruise by his left eye..fighting with the paparazzi (a.k.a. the slider at Papa and Granny's house). We stopped at a church around the corner from our house, where they had a little petting zoo. Emily got to go in the coral with a miniature horse, but when it turned around to face her, she screamed. AH. The ball pit. The kids stayed here the majority of the evening(at Glenn Park). There's an 8 month old attacking Aiden. :) The little bee is Emily's friend from school, Lillian Tallant. Her mom, Angela was in youth group with Justin and did a lot of singing with him at the church. It's fun to have kids the same age. There was a princess playhouse set up next to the ball pit, so Emily claimed it as her spot. This was in her room that she goes to for Sunday School and Kids Day Inn, so she will get to hang out in it again this week.
