here's the last of my old photos...

aiden jamming on my computer before it virused out.

this was yesterday.

we moved our old queen bed to the basement.

the kids have claimed it for movie central.

aiden just uses it for it's actual purpose.

these are heading to germany.

she has a bakery business called 'sweets and treats',

so i made her something special.

this one is hanging in emily's room.

i messed up on it a little bit...

i'm pretty anal about painting.

it has to be perfect!!

this is my latest creation.

i made it yesterday.

it's for my sister-in-law, heidi.

she's a coffee addict.

i love retro, so i made a retro coffee pot and added

my 1930's menu letters.

i heart them.

i told heidi if she didn't want it i would hang it in my kitchen.

i don't even drink coffee.

ever.

i hate it.

i got my new lens in last night.

i was soooo excited.

i pulled it out of the box as soon as i got it in the door,

and ran to put it on the camera....

and it didn't fit.

sometimes when you click 'sigma mount' instead of 'canon mount',

that's what happens.

good grief.

totally returnable, so it's okay!!

but look how pretty it is! :)

heading to moler's today to see if they can doctor up my rebel.

aiden had a stye that day, too.

he had gotten ahold of my make-up bag and had

been playing around with my eyeshadow brush.

my step niece allison.  she's the best niece ever.

when her grandpa married my mom she was around 3rd grade or so.

now she's a junior at manhattan christian college(her parents alum)

and dating her high school sweetheart, ben.

i call him her imaginary boyfriend...they've dated since the end of their sr. year

and i just met him last month.

i was so excited to finally get to meet him.

he's such a nice guy.

sleeping beauty.

okay, here's the dramatic part of the blog...

here's the fireplace that jumped out and hurt my baby's head.

and the screaming stopped.

poor baby.

here it is today...

that last little dark scab is where that last stitch was taken out.

the one that was there 3 days longer than the others.

this may take a while.

well they're not new,

but they are photos...

i had forgotten about the 200+ photos still on the memory

card in the kodak camera.

they're a tad old, but i figured if the other camera is out of commission....

here's january.

to infinity and beyond...the kids being 'buzz lightyear'.

'sitting the cousins on a snow day.

there's a star wars lego plantation in my nephews bathroom.

he has two separate countertops, so one is the stage for his star wars scenes.

it's pretty awesome.

when my sister lived in abilene, ks, they would take the kids sledding on snow days.

their three huskies would pull the kids around the neighborhood.

last year, shortly after their move here, they had to put their oldest husky, sienna, down.

she'd had diabetes, an eye removed, i mean...the poor dog needed a break.

so this year cheyenne and timber took over.

those girls.

they squealed all the way down the block.

it was hilarious.

little aiden had so much fun.

emily was trying to get off the sled and the dogs took off....

she rolled off, face in the snow.

her mom sat there and laughed and laughed...and laughed some more.

someone should talk to her mom...

off to get the next batch of photos ready.

best morning ever.

today was aiden's "first day of school". 

kids day inn at the church.

i woke aiden up this morning and told him he

was going to school with mimi.

he popped up and exclaimed in a little boy shrill voice,

"my go to school with mimi?!?!"

i was just as excited as he was.

i had no children for 2 glorious hours.

it was outstanding.

they were even this happy when i picked them up.

so were their teachers.

ha ha.
