father's day weekend.

we rushed home from vbs/day camp on thursday.
we're talking full blown running through the parking
lots, questionable speeds on the way home...
technically they're only questionable because our speedometer doesn't work.
haha.

totally worth a ticket if i had gotten one.
we had a party with daddy.

a tea party.

we chatted til 1am his time.

during our time, emily turned to me and said, "mom, at day camp today we talked about 'bathtizing'."  oh, i about died laughing.  i'm so glad justin got to hear that conversation.

we just finished week 2 of vbs this summer.
week 1(last week)was at west evangelical free.

i did the cheese head's senior photos. :)

week 2 was at pathway.  at the end of the week, we had the kid's program and fun night at church.

granny and papa came and we gave papa his gift
for father's day.
aiden had picked out a star wars card..that talked.

saturday, we joined other families of deployed soldiers at tanganyika for a free outting.  the kids loved it.

i fed the lorikeets and emily took photos.  she did good!

hope your father's day weekend was just as wild as ours!

that dog.

oh, that dog.
i told the boy to take her with him,
but as you can see,
she's still here.

blasted beast.

i'd like to take credit for this shot,
but my 6 yr old was the one holding the camera. she does a good job. :)

okay, so maybe the dog isn't so bad...when she's not attacking me and needing a bath.

thanks to my little paparazzi in training
for the photo help.

star wars & mexico.

i had a very happy little boy this afternoon.
he finally got to see the star wars exhibit at
the exploration place.

i used both my camera and the phone camera for
the star wars room.

he wasn't a super fan of being this close to the wampa.
emily screamed and refused to get close to it at all. haha.

the kids enjoyed seeing their father, darth vader,
there, too. :)

sand people...another one emily wouldn't get near.

there was a hovercraft deal that they "drove" for about a minute and a half(thankfully aiden is 5 now so he could ride it!). aiden had to wear em's shoes, though, cause his were open toe. he didn't mind those pink shoes too much.

mexico came to town, too.
last week our friend ashley had asked about going
to the park...and then it rained that day.
so we took she and her son, andre, with us
to exploration place.
they're in town for a month or so from cancun
(no, they don't live on the beach).
her husband will be flying up here soon to join them.

we hit up orangeleaf afterwards for some frozen yogurt.
it was super hot and gross out.

andre was tired and wanted to hug everyone.
he was so cute.  aiden told me after we got home that "andre was speaking spanish or something, mom!"
hahaha!

emily hooked us up with a few photos, though this was the only one that was "mother approved". :)
