mini vacay.

it's been a whole week and i have yet to really post about our trip.  i've been feeling anti-photo/blogger lately and just haven't wanted to sit still long enough to edit and post.  i haven't even been keeping up with my photo a day project.
i think i'm 5 days behind.
ugh.

well, here goes...

last weekend we took a spur of the moment mini vacay to
see ja and heidi in st. joe.
it was just a few days away,
but it was much needed.

heidi had sent me a text on wednesday saying a girl
at their church was in labor and had asked if i
was going to be out there soon to do photos.

well, sure.

justin was actually in town (he's been gone 20+ days over the last 2 months), and he needed some hang out time with his brother.

karsten always has fun things to show the kids...like a mouse he caught in the woods. :) and then fed to the cat. hahaha.

jason turned on some music and chloe started going wild.
the funniest sight ever, that's for sure.

we had brought along some donuts for the kids to eat on saturday morning.  i love little donut faces.

ja showed off his cooking skills again for us with his mom's recipe for homemade pancakes.  justin quickly pointed out that only A #1 brother had it and he was not given that recipe. hahaha. oh, boys.
(A #1 brother is a term that josh uses to say that his oldest brother is the favored son.  i call josh A #1 brother when he helps us out with stuff, etc.  always brightens his day.)

heidi and i went shopping at our favorite place, rusty chandelier, and found a great chalkboard to use for the newborn shoot that morning.
best $10 i ever spent.
baby camden's parents are teachers,
so it was pretty fitting.

when heidi and i returned to the house,
the boys were losing to the kids.
the little ones were going crazy.

the little ones went to take naps and then the
big boys bonded by playing big game hunter on the wii
and going out into the woods.
it was freezing cold,
so i didn't care to follow them with my camera. :)

the kids got the best gift for christmas...leap frog tag system.
very grateful for that gift!  it's a wonderful travel item.

we brought judy along, too.  she's josh's gps.  i drove on the way out there and since i have no idea where i'm going, i used it.  i've been trying to get use to doing things by myself that i would normally depend on justin to do.  like driving out of state.

our drive back home included 40 mph winds and wonderful clouds.
