just a little update on our vacay in st. joe, mo.

celebrating ja and heidi's birthdays.

what better place to take the kids

than the circus!!!

and a great first circus experience for my kids.

come fly with me.

a few months ago justin's navy friend, custer, nominated him for some kind of

special treat for a public figure award...people who help in the community.

the reward being a flight in an f-18 jet.

of course justin's name was drawn and he has an opportunity to fly.

however, he had to have an okay from the doctor.

if you know justin, you know he has blood pressure issues.

he freaks out everytime he goes in to the doctor.

today his first bp reading was 150/98.

then 125/110.

then 130/116.

his mom (who's a nurse) always says if he was a patient at work,

she'd tell him to get to the er.

they did blood work and an EKG.

nothing.

dr. hoppock thinks he's an adrenaline junkie.

has too much adrenaline.

he freaks out over situations he can't control...

like going to the dr.

so now he's on a beta blocker to see if that will lower his bp.

he'll have a re-check after we get back from vacation

and he'll tell him then if he can go flying or not.

this is a chance of a lifetime opportunity,

so we pray that he is healthy enough to get to do it!!

tired.

the garage sale is finally done and i am pooped.

it was not 60 degrees today.

it was like 40.

i am still cold from being out there.

all of the items in the previous post were sold(stroller, shoes, bikes, jeep).

my house is emptier.

we had 2 boxes of stuff left over, only 7 of those items were clothes.

very thrilled since the major thing was getting rid of the kids clothes.

almost time to put that money to good use.

missouri is coming up!!

oh and i stepped out of my comfort zone today.

this whole "putting myself out there" thing with the photo stuff is driving me mad.

i don't like to just give people info about the photo stuff unless asked.

it's weird to me.

however, today i passed out some of my cards at the sale.

small anxiety attack feeling in my chest just typing that.

my next door neighbor owns a small consignment shop here

and put some cards up at work.

she had called later to say that one lady was very excited about having her

kid be a guinea pig for me. :)

pray for me...that the anxiety goes away and i can head

into to this with confidence.

i haven't had a lot of encouragement lately about this,

so just pray that i can ignore those remarks and move forward

without hesitation.

yesterday i got some happy mail.

rachel has been making things and made me some headbands.

one fits me perfectly, but the other 2 were a bit tight.

that, however, worked perfectly as it made one little girl very happy. :)

we love them!!

another big score came in the form of golf.

i found some $5 clubs at wal-mart.

the kids love them so.

aiden trots the little caddy on wheels all over the place.

daddy enjoys mini golfing with them, too.

ha.

as soon as i wash them and put them in her drawer,

she has them back on her feet.

perfect present for her...cute socks.

okay...

extremely tired.

a couple of new things at the whyte house...

new head wound.

aiden did that with the plug to the humidifier.

earlier today at naptime aiden dismantled the humidifier,

dumping the water from the bottom of it onto his mattress...

the mattress he had taken off his bed and put on his floor.

along with his blankets and clothes that he was wearing.

they were all wet.

he's been in rare form today.

at least there are no stitches this time.

that's progress.

my telephoto lens came in today, too.

the one i had to re-order.

i love it.

totally worth the wait.

at the park.

the kids and i ventured out to oak park today.

they climbed on rocks,

played peter pan/capt. hook sword fight with sticks,

honked at the geese and ran around in the grass.

they had a great time out.
