ah, once again it is time for a weekend recap.
on a tuesday.
even better.
i know you've all been impatiently waiting at the edge
of your seats to hear about our mother's day weekend, right??
no??
well, you're gonna anyway.
maize schools decided that mother's day weekend
would be the best weekend ever to have a 3 day weekend.
so i got custody of the blase kids for the day.
we hit up the park.
it was like 90 degrees out.
during the first week of may.
blech.
yes, my nephew has on a jacket.
no, i don't know why.
the youngest blase boy helped assist a turtle across the paved bike trail.
he wasn't turtley enough for the turtle club. ha.
aiden turned 4 on saturday. i didn't take any real photos of him. i'm an awesome mom, i know.
we didn't do any super birthday celebrating ON his birthday.
his party is coming up.
he did have some surprise visitors come over.
i wanted to surprise him w/ a playdate AND surprise
dina with a date night w/ darrin.
i think it was a success.
her kids made chocolate covered strawberries for
their mom for mother's day, too. :)
i had great plans to surprise my mom on sunday. i called her early in the a.m. to wish her a happy day...making it sound like we wouldn't be up there. emily, however, didn't get the memo and yelled on the phone that she made strawberries for her and we were coming to see her.
dadgum kids.
so we were there for church to hear my mom preach.
on mother's day. :)
the kids played outside in the 90 degree weather after lunch.
kids are so gross. they always want to go play when it's hot enough out to kill a person.
i don't do well in the heat at all.
they, however, run around like they're riding horses..."maximus" from 'tangled', to be specific...talking to the horse and asking him, "what do you smell, boy?"
good grief.
i didn't get a photo of my mom.
not a single one.
apparently i'm an awesome daughter, as well as mother.
but i got one of jack and em.
i think it's cause jack doesn't have the ability to move fast,
so he's easier to photograph. :)
hopefully all of you are better kids than i am and got a memorable photo w/ your mom.
i'm sure you'll rub it in my face in due time.
