today we attended a reception to recognize justin and 2 other men,
all winners of the 2010 excellence in public service award.
my parents were there, of course.
russell custer(justin's original navy recruiter) and chief king
stopped in, as well.
(is it just me or do they all look alike?? seriously.)
billy tucker, the nominator, had a little speech about why
he nominated justin.
justin spoke briefly, too, but my photo was junk.
mayor and city manager.
the reception was at cowtown,
so emily and i got to visit one of the old houses.
(heidi, i think that dress is what emily will wear for family pics...fyi. :))
last, but not least, justin's parents were there, too.
little officer whyte (with pen on her face) would smile everytime
they said justin's name and aiden would clap with
everyone as they called names.
those kids.
