surprise.

for the last week,

i've been anticipating dinner out with justin.

and no kids.

today we talked about going to dinner

and then going christmas shopping later.

 of course when i dropped off my kids at my sister's,

my husband had other plans.

surprise!

my best friend tari and her husband shawn were the first ones there.  somehow i expected her to be there, too.

i had a nice surprise of my old boss, georgetta, and old co-worker, tabitha arriving later.  that WAS a surprise.  it was so good to see them both!

shawn...he'll do anything for attention.

oh, tari.  don't look at me with that tone of voice.

andy and lisa came out from valley(so far away! :)) with the kids.  their son mason thought it was my house.
ha! so not my house, mason!

my big brother lee and his wife jean were there, as well.  lee turns 60 this year! on my b-day, i sent a text to jean and said, "tell my brother i'm 30 today...that'll make him feel old..i'm all about making him feel old".  he replied to her, "she's not gonna make it to my age if she doesn't knock it off".  haha.
in my birthday card from him, he wrote, "sorry to hear about the loss of your youth". :)

my wonderful sister who conspired with my husband to have my surprise party. they're so funny.

the kids had a great time because 1. they got to see their cousins. 2. there was cake. 3. there were dress-up clothes. :)
emily actually ran up to my brother and gave him a huge hug and let him pick her up.  she has never done anything but run and hide from him!  he loved it.

thank you to my wonderful husband for scheming AND not breaking down and telling me about it.  glad to see some of my sneakiness is rubbing off on you. :)
