baby bliss.

this weekend i attended lyndsay's baby shower

at my friend dina's house.

this was the cutest,

yummiest,

and funniest baby shower.

the only thing that would have made this shower

 better, is if i'd actually known

the mom-to-be.

no, i'm not a baby shower crasher

or anything.

i had mentioned to dina during the

'alice' shoots that i wanted to re-pay her for

her help by taking photos at her best friend's shower.

she liked that idea.

a lot. :)

when dina first told me that her best friend was expecting

her first baby,

i began sending her baby shower party photo ideas

that i'd found on other blogs.

this was the winning one

(of course it came from my fave blog :) ).

that's where her inspiration came from.

good thing dina already owned the majority of

the decor used!

her ideas came together so well.

and she was so calm while we

set up stuff together!

i'm a wreck putting together last minute details,

though i work better under pressure.

i couldn't believe how calm dina was!

maybe some of that will rub off on me!!!! :)

little touches of fall, including some major fall wind, appeared at the shower, too.

friends and family helped out by bringing some yummy foods to share with everyone.

i loved how excited lyndsay would get over the

simplest gifts.

there was a lot of laughing between

dina and i at her expressions.

what i learned at the shower was that she didn't

think she was ever going to be able

to have a baby.

now that she's expecting in her late 30's,

the bliss was evident on her face.  

i think if i'd gone through the trials

she had, i'd be thrilled about baby clippers, too! :)

i told dina that i want her to throw me a baby shower...she can just re-use everything she had at this shower.  

now to go about un-doing my tied tubes...hmmm....
