WHAAATT?!?!?!
they're online?!? they were on facebook and i didn't even know it(i had an e-mail from jackie waiting for me, too). i was so stoked to see them. :)
i am only posting about half of the teaser shots that jackie put on facebook. i don't want to give them all away! :) i will say that i am in love with them. we had so much fun.
AND you get to see what else aiden wore. haha.
first, i just have to say how awesome my hair looks. not it's appearance or style(though i do like it!), but the color. "justine"(aka my husband justin) had just colored it like the day before. there are no gray's visible. that's my favorite part. hahahahahahahahahaha!!!!
speaking of justin....he cannot do pda in public. not that he can't, he just can't do pda comfortably while posing for a camera. definitely not 'america's next top model' material. hand holding he can do. anything else, not happenin'.
this moment made me laugh so hard. he was making snarling noises in my ear and though i was suppose to keep a straight face, i just couldn't.
oh, poor jackie. she had the kids pick up leaves and they were tossing them over the side of the bridge. then emily yells, "let's throw them at jackie!" hahahaha. that's my kid. they threw leaves at her head from point blank. i'm pretty sure her husband was pulling bits of leaves out of her hair that night. probably the last time she asks kids to throw leaves. :)
so midway through photos, i realized i was in photographer mode and not in i'm-having-MY-photo-taken mode. at the beginning i walked through the park with jackie, as everyone else was in front of us. we just chatted away about life and cameras and work. it was fun. then i realized once again that i wasn't IN any of the photos she was taking. haha. what can i say?? i don't like to have my photo taken. that's why i take them! i have gotten a lot better about it, but i try to be more prepared when someone snaps a photo. lots of awful photos in elementary/middle school will ruin anyone's love of photos. :)
aiden didn't get to have a new outfit or any special things for his hair like his sister, so i let him accesorize himself.
he had a great time just being him.
oh, and the awesome flower in emily's hair is from 'brag bling and bows'. she's always so thrilled when people make things for her. thanks again, dina!!!
here's my frame. i love this frame and this shot.
i bought the frame for photos just like this, but i really want to hang it in my house! maybe i'll bite the bullet and frame this photo in it. :) oh, and that is justin's new shirt that he picked out 2 hours before the shoot at target. all by himself, i might add. when i pulled out his other shirt, it looked too faded. so sad, cause that other shirt was super tailored and he looked buff in it. haha. he did a good job finding a new one, though. :)
for the last shots of the session, we pulled out my quilt that my granny made for me. she made all the grandkids quilts when they got married(some before they got married since she had gotten to the point where she having a hard time putting them together). my granny passed away when i was 5 mos. pregnant with aiden(3 years ago). she had asked me once about my quilt and if i was enjoying it. i told her it was on display on my quilt rack, i was too scared to pull it off for fear that all that white material would be ruined. she scolded me and told me that it was made to be used, not looked at. she always said her hands were in terrible condition and the stitching didn't look very well, so i shouldn't look too closely at it. :) i've recently been pulling her quilt out to use on our bed or for shoots and i thought it would be very fitting to have a piece of my granny visible in our family photos. that, and it's purple. what's not perfect about that??
so during the last shots, we lounged on the quilt, and enjoyed watching aiden honk his daddy's nose. :)
thanks, jackie for all of your hard work!! we had a blast!
