pumpkin carving party 2010.

after the baby shower on saturday, justin and i rushed over to our friend matt's house to hang out with he and his wife, melissa, at their pumpkin carving party.

if you've been with me for a while, you'll remember seeing matt and melissa's wedding photos last summer on the blog.

if not, well, here's the lowdown on how we know matt:
matt and justin grew up in youth group and sang together at church, both being in choir/madrigals at their high schools.
the boys both have comical personalities, so there were lots of laughing moments shared between them in youth group.

i met matt the summer before my junior year, the first year back from tulsa.  we all hung out together in youth group, later at college bible study.

matt's always been a great friend of ours.  he was asked to be in our wedding, but he was playing soccer for friends university out of state that weekend,
and had to miss our wedding.

jus and i were excited to get their invite in the mail for the pumpkin carving party, including chili and other goodies for dinner. we don't get to hang out with our friends very often, matt especially, so we happily jumped at the chance.

 i wanted to take photos of the party, so jus carved.
not well, but he did it. :0 hahaha. now don't get me wrong...i love how it turned out.  he just makes me nervous with that knife by his fingers.  i've seen him put a drill through his nail before.  knives aren't any better.

then executes his idea.

their were several other people there, as well.  friends from their college days.  work.  family.  it was nice to get to meet other adults!  ha.

melissa's birthday was last week,

so mattie got her a cake to celebrate with her friends.

he didn't get candles, however.

justin thought that tealights would be awesome.

that's probably why we don't hang out

with matt much.

those boys can't be together for long

without coming up with some crazy idea.

haha.

it looked really cool, though.

i loved all of the templates used.

2 hour job.
