just like everyone else in the world,
the whyte house has been busy.
there's usually some kind of sanding/painting project during naptime. i'm sure the new neighbors across the street laugh everytime they come home and see me out there. haha. i'm trying to get this table sanded and painted before the temps drop too low to paint outside.
we were asked to entertain tyra on thursday. the kids painted a happy birthday sign for justin's birthday(we had b-day dinner at china star last night, but i didn't take any photos--i know), had a tea party and watched 'enchanted'. emily needs that movie and the soundtrack. all i hear all day are enchanted songs being sung. it's pretty funny...and she even has most of the words down, which i like a lot. saves me time having to correct her.
the kids have been enjoying the fall weather, too. it's been mainly 65-70 degrees out, so the stable weather has made it easier for aiden to breathe.
i took a little thrifting trip with the kids yesterday(totally stupid, i know) and my son walked right into a shelf. the end of a metal shelf, no less. we were walking back with the manager to ask about a price and i heard this loud crash. i thought it was the guy carrying things around the next isle. nope. my kid. awesome. i think he was more upset about the lady who was talking to him and asking if he was okay than about the actual collision.
while there, i came across some loaf pans(what i'd gone in after to begin with!), an old school table for $15(!!) and a sewing machine for $20. the sewing machine is gonna need some work, but i just need something for simple projects. i showed it to justin and apparently he knows more about sewing than i do. hahaha. i might put him to work. :)
the table is going to be my studio table. i need to find a comfortable stool to sit on, but i can use one of the stools currently at our counter for now. i cannot wait to have a room where the sole purpose is to create! i had to go to 6 different areas in the house to gather my supplies the other day. it was ridiculous.
yesterday was the end of justin's overwhelming week at work. he was in charge of a training in hutch, so he would leave the house everyday at 6 am to get to hutchinson, spend 8 hours of the day there and then had night class 3 of the 5 nights, getting home around 10 pm. he got an extra 4 hours of sleep this morning. :) we get to visit baby andre at ashley's house today(justin and the kids don't know that bit yet...b-day surprise, getting to meet his new "nephew"), have tyra's birthday party and then celebrate justin's tomorrow, along w dinner/trick or treating with my sister. i'm tired just thinking about all of that! :) look for all of those photos in the next few days!
