so here's the scoop.

a wonderful human being let me borrow

her brand new t2i and macro lens this

weekend.

honestly jennifer, i don't know if you're

the macro and i bonded.

we are bff's now.

the t2i and i are tight, too.

this is my favorite of all times!
well, at least for the week.

we did an early birthday party with chloe(oct 29) & karsten(nov 1)
since we won't see them for their b-days. justin's is on halloween, so we usually go to dinner and do stuff with the kids here.

excuse my non-clear shot... i was playing with the iso. it was set at 6400. so cool. the lights in the kitchen and eating area were off, too.

this is my brother-in-laws famous look, it seems. my friend anna commented on facebook about how she use to get this look when she'd say or do something stupid. i told her it was either given when chloe licked all the frosting off her cupcake and said she was done or during his conversation with his brother. i'm pretty sure it was the latter of the two. :)

oh, and i have to mention that after the birthday party,

ja got on his phone and was playing music bits and jus

and i would try to guess what it was.

hands down, the most fun ever.

mostly, 'cause i won. :)

this is ja and heidi's new house. they've moved 3 times now in the last few years.
i know what you're thinking..."that's a huge house! maybe i should get a job as a pastor!"
this huge house has a been a huge answer to prayer. the actual worth of the house was astronomically out of their price range. somewhere between $50- $100 grand over their range( i know that's a huge range, but i can't remember which it is and honestly, all people need to know is there is no way they would ever have afforded it!). this house had been put up for sale over a year ago, when the family lost their child in an accident. desperate to escape, they fled missouri and ended up on the opposite end of the U.S. to avoid their pain. offer, after offer, they declined and kept their house on the market. and though ja's offer was ridiculously lower than the other offers given over the previous year, the family somehow came to an agreement and signed off on it. the house is perfect for their needs. they'd searched for one to endure all of heidi's shopping trips with me, a safe place to play and explore for the kids and somewhere that heidi's hospitality skills could be well served. there's a bedroom in the basement with it's own bath, perfect for us visiting family members. the house was built very low key...no stainless or granite in the kitchen. just oak and tile. the porch is huge, perfectly holding all of heidi's fall decorating collection. it also came with a large rock area, complete with snakes and spiders. i had to terminate a few of their tenants in the bathroom this weekend. :) i will gladly let them keep their house if snakes and spiders are involved! :) i can't wait to hear about how their first drive in the snow and ice goes. there's a majorly dangerous curve on the way down to their house. ja slid off the road in his truck and plowed into a very large snow bank this last winter. tow truck had to save the truck. better find someone that gives away snowmobiles, ja!! haha.
