with a little imagination...

i saw this photo on elsie's blog last month
and i knew i just had to make my own!

i didn't want to buy a new crate,
so i just used what i already had.
during our many shopping trips,
heidi and i found an old drawer at jesse james
antiques in st. joe, mo.
the drawer cost about $6.
i've been trying to figure out exactly
what i wanted to do with it.

i painted it purple to make the items inside
pop more.
i may put some paper in as well,
since the wood refused to let the paint
cover it properly.

this summer, i had painted an old cookie sheet to use as a tray for my alice in wonderland photo shoot.  it's finding a new purpose, too.
it could easily be drilled into the wall.  an idea to keep in mind for my studio room. :)

another idea for my room is my hanging art.
i put fabric in between the photo and hanger
so that the hanger did not leave indentions on
the photo.
