This week, Justin and I decided it was time for him to get back into what he loved the most...the Navy! At this time it will solely be the Navy Reserves, but there is potential later on down the road for it to turn into full active duty..as in us living on a base somewhere far from Kansas. Justin still has a lot of time left to finish school, but when he does he hopes to become an Officer in the Navy. Signing back in, Justin will not be under the same command(we had issues with the last people) and will not be in the Bahrain unit. Instead, he will drill here once a month, and do his 2 weeks a year here or where he chooses..no more 130 degree deserts. We have no plans to move for now. he will reach his 10 yrs. on the police dept. in about 3 yrs. and will be vested in the dept. That way when he does actually leave WPD, he will receive 25% of his retirement. He is VERY excited and a tad giddy to be getting back in. He will go in under his old job title, boatswains mate(he drove small boats), which the Navy is not in dire need of..meaning he won't get called back in ASAP. When he is done with school his job will change, but getting into the Officer position will lessen the chance of him leaving without signing up for active duty. Either way, I'm excited at the opportunities he will have and the possibility of a future move for us. Here are some pictures of Justin from his first days in the Navy.
It's like 'Where's Waldo?' , huh? Justin is 3rd row to the top, 2nd person on the left.

Look how little they were in 1998!
