Meet the queen of holidays, my sister, Mary Anne. She LOVES to decorate for every holiday imaginable. Halloween is a big one for her. Of course Christmas is way bigger. Check back in a month for those pictures! Knowing that my "poor kids" would not be trick or treating or dressing up, she begged to take them out with her and the cousins tonight. Good grief. So, I said, "Fine" and let her have her fun. We joined them for some homemade lasagna(Mary Anne's specialty) and got to sit in on the end of their pumpkin carving session.
No, this is not what my daughter dressed up as. :) Her oldest cousin, Conner, loves everything Star Wars. He was Jenga Fett tonight.
We had Star Wars boy, Brendon--the injured soccer player, Alyssa--the vet, Emily--she said she was a fairy godmother, but I think she just looked like she was playing dress-up with her cousin. Aiden--the cowboy that would shout, "yee-haw", all down the block.
Never let your kids have props with their costumes. You end up carrying them. Mary Anne spent half the night with crutches and a light saber. She kept "cutting off" my limbs with it.
First stop. They gave the older kids a can of Mountain Dew. Thanks, people.
"This is my happy face!"
The lady was talking to Aiden telling him how cute he was. Oh, lady, if you only knew what he did during his naptime today....(post below).
A calmer moment. He was usually taking his hat off, waving it in the air and yelling, "yee-haw" between houses. I think he was captivated by the water.
Gorgeous property near Mary Anne's house.
There are 80 houses in their neighborhood. We hit close to 40 of them. I was so tired. We even got to see Casey's dad(Justin's friend from high school grew up in this neighborhood, too). Casey, can't wait to see you next weekend!! We have TONS of candy at our house, now. The good kind, too. That can't be good. Too bad it's not real food. It would make me feel better about my pantry being so sparse if it were. Oh, well.
